This film released by IFC Midnight production, if you search everything about IFC film they all got low budget films but all the films really really great, just like this one
Badadook based on short film called Monster by Jennifer Kent too but and then Jennifer make her short film into full movie, more detail more character and more scary ( really scary )

The story about – Amilia is a troubled and exhausted widow who has a son Samuel and after her husband died in a car accident – one day her son ask her to read a book that her son found but it’s a story book or any other book, it’s about monster that really really creepy and disturbing for kid or adult ( PS : I’ve got chill when I write this review )
After that, Amilia felt something strange about herself, in her house that it’s like the monster come alive and haunt her, you know it’s like the monster get in her mind when she read the book for her son – Amilia suddenly become cruel toward anyone even to her son, she can’t control her mind fully, really difficult to explained how Amilia got in her mind

So – if you watch the movie, the one who got really scared by the monster  actually it’s Amilia herself that her exhausted mind easily got corrupted by simple things that drives her crazy – this movie really work to the scared the shit out of you even it’s a low budget movie, it’s really sad this movie only got limited theater released if the movie got a real push from the marketing this movie can be a break – how people gonna get scared by a little things – it’s like it got inside your mind
